My journey into veterinary medicine began in a small general practice. It was there that my passion for organization and efficiency met my love of animals and for being of service to others. While attending Raymond Walters College to become a registered veterinary technician, I joined this hospital as a Staff Supervisor where I assisted the practice manager with critical company policies and procedures. Working for a 5 doctor general practice was a great introduction into veterinary medicine and gave me the tools I needed for a transition to emergency and specialty medicine; the importance of paying attention to details, identifying vital information on patient medical records, and recording nursing notes.

For seven years I was privileged to have the opportunity to work for a large emergency and specialty hospital for pets, where I spent six years in clinical medicine then transitioned to the department of Operations. I have experience providing patient care in internal medicine, ophthalmology, emergency, and intensive care nursing. Ensuring that, from start to finish, the owner’s and pet’s experience was extraordinary, even in extraordinarily difficult times. As a shift supervisor, it was a privilege to lead other technicians and assistants in exceptional patient care and customer service. As an Operations Management Technician, it was my responsibility to confirm communication between pet owners and the veterinarians, technicians, and operations employees was seamless, pleasurable, and trustworthy. To ensure technicians and veterinarians had all necessary medical supplies and equipment needed to provide quality patient care.
